Katori Shrine

Katori Shrine was founded as patron saint of this pioneer in 1165 by (1165) and thereafter has been worshiped as local deity of village. Enshrined deity passes and says Tsu (futsu) main (master) God (chew) and is industrial development, God of reclamation at the same time to be the god of swordsmanship and is branch shrine of Katori major shrine (Chiba). A variety of plums bloom in profusion in venerable Umezono "Kobai garden" in the precincts, and plum Festival is opened every year.
