Mt. Ushijima means mountain in Soto sect in Komagome Kichijoji (Bunkyo-ku) end. We assume the foundation of 2 yodaishuyasuju of (1541) Kichijoji in 1541, but are doing with rising of (1491) in "Buddhist temple and Shinto shrine book" in 1491. honsonshakunyoraimokuzo, Kannon with eleven faces, mujinjizo**, great demoness light 600 volumes were famous. As this temple had Terakado painted in red, it was commonly called as "the Red Gate temple" from the Edo era.
