sumida Hokusai Museum
It was said that Hokusai Katsushika with high evaluation was born in court noble ditch (the neighborhood of current Kamezawa, Sumida-ku) as world-famous painter and left many works while spending most of life for 90 years in ward. Work of world-famous artist Hokusai whom such Sumida-ku is proud to is museum to be able to enjoy.
Permanent exhibition introduces person image and work, relation, "it is corner" along life of Hokusai and introduces various influence that Hokusai gave home and abroad. In addition, by plan exhibition, we release statue of new Hokusai based on research.
Opening time: 9:30-17:30 (until 30 minutes before admission closing)
Closed day: Every Monday (weekdays Monday in the case of on holiday or holiday making up for the overlap of holidays on Sunday, the following day),
New Year holidays (from December 26, 2016 to January 1, 2017)
Plan exhibition viewing charges: We set every plan exhibition
Permanent exhibition viewing charges: General 400 yen, high school student, university student 300 yen, 65 years or older 300 yen,
Free of charge younger than junior high student
※As for the plan exhibition viewing, permanent exhibition is free, too
